September 19, 2017, 1:14 p.m, an earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale struck 12 km southeast of Axochiapan, Morelos. Collateral damage: Around 900 homes were damaged.
The project that is presented below arose from the call by Fondo de Desastres Naturales de México and the help of professionals in the construction sector.
The commissioned case study encomended is about a family of five permanent inhabitants and three floating. The proposal is born from five facets present in our time: theory, technology, city, society and sustainability.
Each idea, thought and intervention was made with the premise of following the aforementioned facets. The house is synthesized in a simple and successful architecture in its sustainability criteria, framing the ease in its construction, this being an economic process. The proposal stands out for its functional and environmental efficiency and for being theorized in the cultural substratum of a society undermined by social inequality.
